BEFORE SUNRISE

Today is a typical sunday - quiet, lazy and with a lot of time to spend on..absolutely nothing!

So I decided to dowload a movie I had seen 6 or 7 years ago called "Before sunrise" with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy.

A young man and woman (Celine and Jessie) meet on a train in Europe, and wind up spending one romantic evening together in Vienna. Unfortunately, both know that this will probably be their only night together..

I like these kind of movies, for the simple fact that its a conversation movie. It is simple and genuine. No special effects, no great action scenes, just reality..and that is magical to me - a thousand times more interesting than any smart over the top 20 million action flick.

I am sure many people recognize this movie, as it became very famous. The follow up came 10 years later as "Before sunset" shot in 2004. I strongly recommend it.

You know what's the worst thing about somebody breaking up with you? Is when you remember how little you thought about the people you broke up with and you realize that is how little they're thinking of you. You know, you'd like to think you're both in all this pain but they're just like 'Hey, I'm glad you're gone'. Isn't everything we do in life a way to be loved a little more? Well, who says relationships have to last forever?

Maybe what I'm saying is, is the world might be evolving the way a person evolves. Right? Like, I mean, me for example. Am I getting worse? Am I improving? I don't know. When I was younger, I was healthier, but I was, uh, whacked with insecurity, you know? Now I'm older and my problems are deeper, but I'm more equipped to handle them. At least now we don't have to pretend that each new sexual experience is a life-altering event.

Celine: I guess when you're young, you just believe there'll be many people with whom you'll connect with. Later in life, you realize it only happens a few times.
Jesse: And you can screw it up, you know, misconnect.

The concept is absurd. The idea that we can only be complete with another person is evil! Right?

A walk in the Kungstradgarden park

A WALK IN THE PARK

A few days ago I came back to Sthlm from Uppsala to visit my sister.
Summer is ending and all students have about a week or two of vacations left.
With that in mind, Becca took me to Sthlm to finally meet her uni friends. We decided to meet up at 18pm for a picknick and wine in the park near the KINGS GARDEN in Stockholm.
They were indeed very nice girls, a bit shy in the beginning but after 2 glasses of wine I noticed the atmosphere began to losen.
The funniest one of the girls was out of doubt Daniela, the girl from Ecuador. She was hilarious and a complete whacko. I havent met anyone quite like her since...well, Maria, an old IB mate who is very special ;)
I think my sister and I are lucky when it comes to meeting eachothers friends for the simple fact that we end up liking them very much.
Anyway, back to the picknick.
3 hrs later we headed over to Medborgarplatsen to a bar. However by then Daniela was a bit too drunk for her own good hehehe.
I met up with a few more of my sisters friends later on and we headed to a persian bar together with Josef, another great friend of mine whom I havent seen since the beginning of summer.

It was cosy to go out in Sthlm and socialize a bit. Meet new people, think of lighter things, reflect... because everybody needs a break from the heavy shit sometimes, so thank you sizzle, its nice to find comfort here..Uppsala is so empty now and I needed a distance from it all..

PURPLE FINGERTIPS AND SUMMER BLISS

Hello dear bloggers and readers!
I was supposed to post this a while ago, but because of private reasons, I haven't, but here it is!!

Last week I went to Ludvika in Dalarna with Daniel to visit his family and enjoy the last weeks of vacation.

On one of the days we decided to go blueberry hunting, since we surprisingly stumbled upon quite a lot of them by the water where we were walking and adventuring. I can't describe what a beautiful view that was.
Anyhow, we managed to pick a big bucket of blueberries and a few raspberries.
It took about an hour to clean and separate the blueberries from leaves and bugs (yes, we found a cute little green bug which looked exactly like a leaf - very well camouflaged).
During the evening, Daniel made a quick blueberry crumble pie of it and added some vanila icecream on the side, pitty we didn't take a picture of that, but it was doubtlessly, delicious..It tasted indeed like swedish summer.

On the picture above, you see our purple hands holding the berries in the bucket. Blueberries are known to stain, so it took a while till I got my normal color back around the fingertips :)

A special person


























Today my post goes to my wonderful boyfriend Daniel.

It is his 26th birthday and becoming a lot before my eyes. I see him grow and develop. Sometimes it scares me how fast time has passed and how much has changed. We have been together for about a year and a half now. This time of our lives is a big question mark. Nothing is certain and life feels exciting but yet a bit scary. We don't have full control of anything. On our way to the future ahead, we make friends, we lose friends, we find love, we lose love..Indeed emotionally charged. I am not sure though, if I like the fact that we don't have control of anything. A wise man once said that nothing is to be kept or owned. I wonder, deep inside, how he managed to keep his sanity in times when everything became an uneasy question mark. I would like to ask him that...


Anyhow, this is Daniel. My partner, my best friend, my lover and my life.. He issmart, funny, a child inside and a tough idealistic man on the outside never seizing to try to shed light in my darkness..
He has left a strong impact in me. It is one of those people who we always remember throughout life. Although he is going through a lot of doubts and decisions to make, I support him in any decision he makes. I hope he knows that.
Looking back, I would have like to have changed so many things that happened, but this is how life is. I just hope that whatever happens, happens for the best..


I love you, Daniel as long as forever goes.

The internet is a lunatic center

My patience is becoming shorter and shorter with the internet lunatic world.
The things I get to hear are mindboggling to say the least. What has happened??????
Let me explain, lately I have seen friends and friends of friends go through hell on online communities because of psychotic women after them. Envy, jealousy...you name it!
The things they do in order to get underneath ones skin makes me wonder what kind of life these women live, if they spend so much effort and energy on women they clearly envy. I dont understand. What scares me the most is the fact that they dont have a reason to envy these people. I wonder what is the point, and hope they get therapy fast because what these people do is an attempt to break down a persons integrity and private life.
Alright, by joinging an online community we are bound to be exposed, so that makes me wonder if we should have our real names flashing on the pages with pictures of us, because this is definetly a trend going on the internet, and it isnt funny.
The thing they dont understand is that by criticizing the women the envy, reflects such an obvious jealousy and you know what it tells us? It tells us that these little bees want to have the bigger jar of honey these girls have

I am happy some of these stories which I have heard have solved themselves, like my sisters friend, who has sued this psychotic woman..
Justice DOES conquer in the end and it is really easy to see through these lunatics, one can see through them, crystal-clear, lacking soul......

A sizzly day!!






















Wow, what a day! Today, Rebecca, Ale ( dressed from top till bottom in Brazilian clothe!!!!) and I went to Stockholm's tivoli "Grona Lund".
It was a "sizzly affair" full of candy, speed, action and a big hole in the wallet after we left - hahaha, no not that bad, it was definetly worth it, specially because we don't get to see our small family members so often, unfortunately. This is the time to spoil them, indeed!!

One of the highlights was the mirror room - heck, those mirrors made me look like a freak! First i got a big head, it made me look like i had developed a headache, a neck as long as a girafes, legs of a model - djesss, Rebecca and i agreed that we should get ourselves one of those to do good for our self-esteem ;). The three of us had a great time in there!!
The funniest one was definetly the one which gave us the longest chest - Becca looked like gravity had not been very kind to her. Horrendous but oh so funny!

The day ended by the obligatory stop by good ol' McDonalds and 1 hr and a half later Ale had sinked in bed in record time.

We will definetly miss our little "Ale Berry", but it will be even nicer when the whole Dietz clan come over for christmas in our new house.

Doubtlessly a day to remember, when we look back. These are what memories are made of...

Women behaving badly

Human beings are curious creatures, as I am one myself, I know for a fact that sometimes we are more interesting to observe than watching a program on Animal Planet.

I know that morals and what we considered "right" and "wrong" differs with every individual. It is interesting how our differences in thinking and handling creates us to argue, discuss and agree, but sometimes it goes overboard, leading us back to Animal Planet mode - handling by instinct, acing like animals, instead of acting like rational and mature adults.

I believe we try to behave our very best, until our resources become limited, but on the other hand, some people overreact before thinking, and that really gets my blood to boil over. I find that utterly unnecessary and unfair. No doubt about it.

I confess I have been irrational at times, but never have I judged someone before knowing the truth. It is the same as reading a gossip magazine and asuming that one relies completely on shady resources without questioning it, without thinking for oneself and acting like a primitive robot. Yes, pityful.

That makes me wonder how we can be so different from eachother - I know that our differences lie in childood, experiences, lifestyle, personality and so on, but still, I dont get it.

For example, women who fight over men, in such a vulgar way, to the point that they act desperate to protect their property - but wait a minute, we do not own people, we cannot control that and it is highly unrealistic to be able to control someone. That is just wrong! What an utopia!

If women are upset at a situation with their man, comfront them, not the woman on the outside. Isnt that obvious? If we feel that something is wrong, it is clear that there is a crystal clear problem in the relationship - we all do things for a reason, our boyfriends or even ourselves aren't angels. If we feel hurt or angry, get to the bottom of the problem, if we want to solve the root. Sometimes women blame the wrong target - isn't that a sign of lack of self-esteem? Maybe some people prefer to take the easy way out, blindfolded...

Last but not least, If your boyfriend has betrayed you in any way, why would you still want him? He makes his own decisions, he does it for a reason, its up to you to find out the source of your problems, and girl, the problem isnt a 3d "skank" in the picture. Something is clearly missing, and it isnt sexy underwear.....
So please, rise above! Dont give us a bad image. Keep the catfights to Jerry Springer, that is the purpose it serves us. E-N-T-E-R-T-A-I-N-M-E-N-T....


ps Before I get any death threats I would like to be clear with a few main points:

I am not trying to pick a fight with anyone.
I am of a jealous nature as well, and I understand that at times it is natural to feel possessive and angry, but I decide to grab the bull by its horns rather than acting like one.

If I have offended anyone, I am sorry, I try to stand on a neutral ground.

Aloha!
Long time no read, huh? I know, I have been bad at keeping up the posts since I left Uppsala to Stockholm. I have been home now, and calmed down after the world cup. First I thought of writing about Zidanes tatanka moves, but then i realized every second blogger will be writing about it, so I let it go.

Now to the updates:

1. It has been enjoyable to be home, we have had my brother Carl and his family visiting us for a few days, Daniel came along too and spent a few days with us. It was definetly full house.

Last weekend is what I could easily call the "weekend of hell" - even though it was nice to have so many kids and people at home, everything that could have gone wrong did - the house decided to break down : the pool got a crack, the water overflood the cellar - we still dont know where the water is coming from, the toilet seats broke, my brothers little son, Alexander, nearly drowned ( it wasbt a pleasant experience, luckily I managed to get him out in time - nobody saw that coming, it all happened in a split second, and it took a few seconds for us to realize he had jumped in the water, so my brother jumped from the veranda into the pool with all his clothe to save Alexander, but i managed a few seconds before - thank god...)
2. And last but not least, my dad broke the back of his left foot when he jumped in the pool, so now he cant walk for nonetheless 8 weeks, it makes him basically paralized (and the fact that we are moving in september-october doesnt make it better nor can my parents travel and enjoy summer, so typical isnt it!?!)


It always happens to the best families ;) as i would like to believe.

3. My niece Alessandra has been here in Sweden with us for a few weeks now, she is only 6 years old and came all by herself from Switzerland, where my oldest sister lives - I must admit, I enjoyed having her around more than expected. She is so funny, sweet, easy going, happy, loveable, talkative and creative..it will be definetly hard to let her go, now that i got used to having a cute little thing lying down next to me. I really hope one day to have an exact copy of her ;) - if it doesnt work out, i will just have to ask my sister to "make me one of those" hahahaha!!!!

Well, not much has happened other than that. Have met friends, hung out with family, played beachvolley in Uppsala with some friends, been with my boyfriend enjoying his company, being lazy, reading, enjoying the unusual summer heat that has blessed Sweden this year - all in all, easy-going and enjoyable - it is definetly nice to change environments now and then.

Losers match


I'm sorry, but the most overrated team of this world cup must be Germany. I know that goals are decisive wether or not the team will win, but honestly, I didnt find Germany to possess the most exciting game nor best team of this world cup
Of course, i will not hide my bitterness towards Germany winning over Portugal. I thought Portugal had much more football spark to show for than Germany. The opportunities were there, and they definetly deserved to have won the bronze - It would have been fair, it would have been nice.
However, this world cup has so far upset me deeply and surprised me not once but a couple of times.
I root for Italy to win the gold medal - you know why.. On the other hand, I like their agressivity. But as it seems, this world cup is becoming more and more alike corruption and unfairness - just like the brazilian politician mentality..
If France wins, I will consider this the world cup of the witches - no doubt about it. I dont find football to be a sport anymore as it once was, it is losing its essence and I am sure all of us suporters are aware about it - This world cup smells more and more like rotten fish to me...fishy indeed.
To wrap this post up, let me tell you, Brazil will wake up from their deep cinderella sleep..*yawn*
Now if Brazil ever meets Portugal in 2010, well..that is a whole new story.

My admiration belongs to you this world cup, Portugal! You did after all reach the 4th place - well done!

Sera que a tradicao brasileira de futebol nao pode fracassar de vez em quando? Ate esse time maravilhoso que tivemos esse ano fracassou, mas tudo por falta de planejamento, de pratica. Eu acredito no nosso time, e eu entendo a pressao de ter que prestar 100% toda vez que eles joguem - ate em treinamento! Primeiro eles idolatram o time quando vai bem, e depois catam pedra...que hipocrisia!

Who knew?

This following video by Pink is my new favorite song i keep on playing over and over again throughout the day. I love it because even though it is mainstream pop, it has a lot of truth in its lyrics. Who hasnt gone through a bad separation? Or who hasnt felt the loss of someone or the common fear we have of losing someone, without having the power to control the situation? It is something I think often times. Promises and hope, things never turn out the way we thought they would... love is indeed a mystery to me. The heart is full of love stories and memories we put away somewhere in our subconscious..and sometimes it all comes back when these songs pop up in the radio..

Midsummer comemoration!!










This past friday Sweden comemorated its most beloved tradition - midsummer, the longest day of the year.. Families and friends gather for a typical lunch with fish, potatoes, meatballs and a lot of akvavit, song and dance, embracing the essence of swedish summer.
One
usually is put together with someone else on the table through a game, meaning that you will be sat together with total strangers if you dont know them, but if you are lucky, it can be quite fun!! After lunch everybody is invited to dance around a pole which rep
resents fertility (it looks like testicles, really).
Maybe you have heard about the "small frog-dance"?
That's it, one impersonates those little frogs and atempt to look as stupid as possible, but us brazilians find it pretty odd and embara
ssing, so we attempted to look as cool as we could, under the circumstances (...)

This friday my sister (
the famous sizzle 1, Daniel - my boyfriend and his friend John Malkovich (aka Tobias) drove to the heart of Sweden - Dalarna. There, we stayed at Daniels moms place, and from there we drove to where the party was going to be held - at Fredriks place, one of Daniels friend. He has a house looking out the lake "Väsman" - it is so beautiful and infinite, full of small islands..an eternal source of inspiration. There, we met up with no less than 75 people. We mingled and even met some brazilians we weren't expecting to meet. I was a bit nervous, so I drank about 3 glasses of punch in order to "losen out" - I am becoming swedish in that sen
se, aint' i??.
During the huge lunch, which everybody contributed with, each country sang a typical song of theirs, just for the fun of it.
Us latin americans chose La Bambas song - I know, maybe not the best choice, but it was easy.. So we stood up proudly, and sang a little. T'was fun!!! My table date was a colombian guy, quite nice actually. I had luck this time as well. My sizzle sat right in front of me, which made it even better as well. After a long lunch and many many sips of akvavit and song, we went and sat on the roof of Fredriks house. There one could see the view of this gigantic lake Vässman. It was definetly my favorite place to be (obs! I do not suggest anyone to climb the stairs and sit on the roof if there is any trace of strong alcohol in the veins!!! ) The rest of the day was spent dancing salsa, dancing to typical swedish music at its best - think Carola, Basshunter, Lena Ph.. Behind the house we found a warm swedish wooden bath tub where we sank our feet and ate chips with strangers, while being eaten by small mosquitos... total bliss! Towards the evening all the damn summer bugs were eating us all up, so we decided to go and sit in this small cottage which had a fire lit on. The cottage looked more like a fishermans house, and it was too, the cutest little cottage I h
ave ever seen in Sweden. A perfect end to the evening. We wrapped up by eating hot dogs outside.

The clock was 4am and we were dead tired, dying to get home, dying to take off our shoes!!!! Daniel attempted a failed
peep talk with us, suggesting we should walk home -
Hence - that would take about 45min, but you know girls, so we called a taxi instead, which would take 45 minutes to come, and that didnt make Daniel very happy. He tried really hard to get us motivated to walk home and enjoy the beautiful swedish nature. You know, when an over the top energetic swede tries to put some somewhat spoiled brazilians to move their asses after 12 hrs of partying, he will not succeed!!
However, when your shoes hurt, when you have been bitten all over, when you are drunk and halv asleep, nobody gives
a bloody f* about the swedish nature!!!!¤#&¤!!!! =) So we got our way, and the taxi arrived 15 min later.

really enjoyed this midsummer. I met an incredible amount of wei
rdos - who became odder with every drink they took, but i had quite a laugh at them. Swedes at their best, quite amusing to me actually.. I never laughed so much at them.

Midsummer was indeed the longest day of the year - it never gets quite dark..and the party goes on..

All in all, it was worth the trip. I had my sizzle 1 sister with me this time
and my xuxu!!!! The only negative experience we had this weekend was when we were on our way h
ome and bumped into notorious swedish nazists. But that is another post, that would only spoil my cute midsummer post.

Ronaldo - the fat diaries?!!


Alright, alright. By reading the title you're probably thinking that I am about to mock Ronaldo - but I won't.
I think I am the only one who hasn't picked on him. Like I'd say "Fat??? my schmizzle!"
This has become a topic of choice in Brazil these past weeks. Ronaldo did arrive in Germany in less-then-usual-top-shape but accordingly to his dietist, he has been following a rigid regime and has improved quite a lot since he arrived, so please drop it people!
I feel so sorry for him. First he was criticized by his bad performance for Real Madrid, and now this. No wonder he feels psychologically bad - Ronaldo has been rushed to the hospitals not once, but twice (and the world cup is only half way through).
It is obvious he hasnt showed his famous star quality in the fields during this World Cup so far.
To call him fat is exagerated. In my point of view if he is in bad shape, it must be simply a matter of a few extra kilos. Since when being a little overweight transforms into "Fat"??

That is such a typical media-like thing to do, and the worse part is that its contageous. So contageous to the point that the people start using that word and instead of reading the real facts, they stick to the very same tricky journalism.

Remember his injury in 2000? He has survived 2 major injuries, when it looked hopeless. So let's not pick on him, let's cheer for him, because we are afterall fans, in good and in bad times.

The copycat effect / that's right, shizzle to the sizzles!!!





















I am the typical example of what one may call the sister looks up to older sister (this time, middle sister) - effect.

My sister and I moved to Sweden together with our family 7 years ago. We had the alienation in common.
We have a special bond, which may make people sort of jealous, or merely call it a copycat complex (sorry, mr Freud).
Looking from the outside it may look like I copy my sister in many ways. Our blogs look alike, our nicks, our pictures, our shoes....
Everytime she is judged by some pityful creature (which are many), I feel like I have to sink to the low level of these low lives - but only if she allows me to of course.
When I hear the situations she is put in, I find it sad that some people don't have better things to do than giving their "oh so wise" opinions about what she should do, what she should have done and so on.
If you look at the choices you made in life, I can bet that 98% of the time you didn't do as you should, according to your family, according to your friends or mentor, did you?

I believe we have our own ways to go. We chose our weapons and we seek to fulfill our journey with the hand on our hearts. If the road is dark, so be it. It is our choices afterall. What may be right for you, may not be right or make sense to the other.

I don't like the fact that people pick on everything she does. Who gives them the right to do so? What makes them so much wiser?

I have seen the problems coming at her, and i always try to let her know that I supposer her no matter what. I know it is a sister thing, but she is also a person. So please. This should be a lesson to all of you out there, who have missjudged people, who manipulated, who lied, who threatened, who intentionally tried to make someone feel worse because it makes you feel better.

This post may be overdramatized, but i couldnt care less. These are my upset feelings talking - for my sister and for everyone out there who have been victims of pityful criticism.

This takes me back to when I was small. My sister had come home late, and my mom got so angry at her that she hit her. I remember crying instantly. Powerless and small. What could I do? It felt like I felt that same slap in my face..
But i feel today that words are stronger than the physical. So I try my very best to live my life without imposing my ideas on other peoples lives. Haven't you noticed, human beings need their freedom in order to find their way? So please, let us take our own roads, then i'll let you take yours, without judging your fowl acts.

Look yourself in the mirror before you go judging other people...

Brazil-Australia 2-0! We still got "it".

What really pisses me off is the fact that the whole world expects us to play like gods, to play samba football. Alright, i understand that the favorite teams always have the pressure of being beyond perfect, but to say that we didn't impress during this game, is very lame.
The first half was a catastrophe. Personally, the first half is always the learning process. One learns to read the oponent team. Thereafter, one learns to play around their tactics.
Now, Australia, was beyond agressive and incredibly on to our key players. Tell me, how are we to play with a bunch of big rugby men on us? Around the 20th minute Ronaldinho tried to get the ball towards the goal, but it was impossible. For a while there, no football spirit. No art, no samba..no game. That is not football, thus, making it impossible for our golden boys to shine.
On the second half, the team woke up. They knew a little better, they tried a little harder. That is the difference. That is impressive enough. Yes, Australia improved too, but in the end, our boys showed the world once again, that we still got "it" - no matter what the comentators think...
Adriano, you're the man!!!!!(note that when he made the goal Adriano and his team mates did what Bebeto did in 94 when he scored a goal - he did the baby dance, for his son who was born a few days ago..that is love!)

But on the other hand, Sweden was nominated the best supportive crowd in Germany. You didnt see that coming did you? Apparently Brazil isnt n the top 10 - that's odd, because todays match showed a 80% arena covered in green and yellow..

What can I say, this song crushes my heart...Makes us feel the real essence of life, brings us back to what really matters...It has affected me strongly, and everytime i play it. It is a reminder..of so many things we don't think of.

I love everything about the World Cup. It unites, it makes us forget the differences... It's magic.

My kitty cat rocks my world



My life wouldnt be half as fun if i didnt have this special kitty cat of ours. He came into our family when he was around 6 years old, because his owners couldnt keep him since they had moved into an apartment. Nobody wanted him because he wasnt a kitty, so they thought of putting him to sleep. But then my mom suggested we'd take him, and after he moved into to our home..our lives would never be the same again. You'd say " is only a cat, woman, get a grip" - but this cat is special. I wouldnt call him a cat, because i know for sure he wouldnt want me to call him a cat. He has tried inumerous times to go by "half cat half super human" - so i let him have the tittle.
Nisse was fat and spoiled when we got him. I found him to be an odd looking furball. He was unfriendly and gave me loads of problems.He didnt know us, so one he disappeard into the forrest during winter - and we didnt know what to do, since he had disappeared, so once when i was walking back from school i heard funny "mewwwwwwwwww moowww murrrrrr" from the forrest, so i decided to look for our cat, since i was worried. I finally found hinm under a tree full of pointy spikes, and he refused to come out, so i basically had to crawl in the snow and catch him with my bare hands. He was so nervous and inwilling to move that he scratched me so much it dig into my hands and i bled so much i thought for a moment that i was in the remake of a scary King movie... However i refused to let go, because i had spent way too many hrs crawling in the woods freezing my ass off to let this cat win the game.
Today i still have these scars on my hand, but this cat became a part of the family throughout the years, and now he is tamed and less fat (major boot camp diet). He is like a small indiana jones, he has moved around to Sthlm, Linköping etc (he moved from my parents house into my sisters inumerous apartments around Sweden) - but now he is here at home back with my parents.
He shows off when we have guests, he chases the pincett (i correct, "he used to" - not anymore, because that craves too much energy). He sits on your face without having any idea that that is not normal for a cat. He farts when he is happy and he humps a sock when he gets horny (or our hand). He is so lazy he doesnt neww anymore. All he does is open his mouth - so basically we have to guess that he is trying to say "meww". He takes about 5 min to make a decision. He walks 5 mm, stops, sits, turns around, asks to go out but when we take him out he doesnt take the final step out the door - so many stories .... Today when i was chatting on msn he came down to the office where im in and sat on my dads office table. He walked around my keyboard (yet another odd spot for a cat) and from there he jumped to the table and found a cosy warm spot...by the stampler...whatever.
Yes, he is the king, and he is also "half cat half super human" to us... So this is my small dedication to my little kitty cat....

We're gonna sip baccardi like its your birthday..



So today is my birthday. My 23d birthday. And the coolest part is that this will be the only year which will mark my birthday with 4 number 6s.
Let me explain -
I was born on the 6th of june, the 6th month at 6 o'clock..and this year is 2006.
Don't worry, I am not the devil (
666) - as far as I know.

I find it quite amusing, because this will be the only time it will ever be 4 6s - or who knows, maybe ill be alive in 3006, you never know how technology will develop.

It will be a nice and easy comemoration. We will BBQ and sit by the pool, looking out to the marina and enjoy the gorgeous sun, which has come back to sunkiss my skin.

I'm trying to organize a BBQ here with my corridor this saturday, let's hope they can make it, it would be a little bittersweet, because one of our dear exchange student corridor mate is leaving us soon..and that will feel very odd.
That's the worse part of living in a corridor - doubtlessly.

Anyhow, my fingers ache. I have been workin in the garden all afternoon. With this in mind, I end my post here...

This song is very special to me. I remember listening to it in the airplane the moment I arrived in Guarulhos airport in São Paulo on December of 2002, after many years away from my loved country, my loved friends.. I was extatic and hopeful. The moment i stepped out of the airplane, I felt the warm air taking over my lungs. The smell of cement mixed with the humid smell carried by our dark green forrests, is what home smells to me. I was born again. Recountering all that I ever knew, all that I ever cared for, all that ever mattered to me, made the arduous waiting worth...
I believe that was the happiest moment of my life so far, and I'm sure the only person who can understand that exact feeling is my sister =)

..I feel sorry for the guy who sat next to me (but its ok, because he bugged me all through the trip as well), he thought i was nuts, because halfway the trip i repeated over and over "I can't believe Im going back to Brazil..i can't believe, i can't handle it. I have to jump, Im nervous, my hands are sweaty...but I am happy, because I have waited for this moment..for almost an eternity." Eternity is surely what it feels like, when you leave your country and your friends behind...

A sweet surprise on a mediocre day.
















Tadaaaah! This is how the story goes:

My xuxu (xuxu is a Brazilian green vegetable, but is used as
a nickname for the ones we love), surprised me yesterday out of the blue with a treasure hunt.
I had mistakenly found a note stuck to a package i had ordered by mail, which had arrived. My xuxu hinted me to take a look at my package, and I found that was odd, because why would a boyfriend be so curious about a dull package..adressed to me?! Then I had a lightbulb moment - behind the package there was a note, which would carry a small rhyme, giving hints for the next spot and so on, leading to the final surprise - a gift =) It w
as a lot of fun - I'm much better at solving the clues, because last summer xuxu made me a huuuge treasure hunt, which made me bike all over Uppsala, walk in the forrest when it rained, jump over picked fences, decode hidden signs on rocks, walk around the huge Cathedral (yes, THE Upsaliensis church).
Believe me when i say though, I wasn't very cheerful when i started the hunt for the first time. I was puzzled, confused, annoyed, wet, couldn't solve the clues..and yes, you know how girls get when they are grumpy when things don't go their way and their hairs are wet... It isn't a pretty sight. HOWEVER, it was
the best present. Not the present itself, but the hunt... I wish i was that creative. Anyhow, this is the present I got, followed by the clues.

Because we all know that somehow, mom's are really really awful at remembering song lyrics, and once again, somehow, mysteriously, screw up the rythm of the song with their very own impersonated version of the song. (However oh so darn charming, mom =)
For you to have an idea, my mom transformed "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, and damn right, its better than yours, i can teach you, but I have to charge" to "My milkshake is sold in stores, and the boys come runnin' to it and oh yeeeee but you have to pay for it!!!!" - now try singing that. Can you get it to swing?? ;) Hehehe sorry mooooooooom, I damn love you, but this is so sweet, and I love your impersonations. I can't wait till next song!
