Where'd you go?

Get this video and more at MySpace.com

Sometimes we feel alone even though we have arms wrapped around us..and yet we still have those days when we feel that we are so unreachable, feeling left aside. You are there for me, and yet not...
Is it really only a state of mind or is it our reality trying to tell us that something is wrong - or is it merely, a part of our complex nature?
Sometimes it feels like I am over-the-top spoiled, that we shouldn't complain about these mediocre things, because on the other side of the world, some people can't even afford to think these thoughts, they are fighting for much simpler fights, they have no time for "me", only for survival...
I don't know, maybe we have become so ego - everything is about "me, me, me", when in fact, the world is screaming for "union"...

The song you are hearing, is a great song, according to me...and it carries an important message.
I think that Is my mood today for today.

"Where'd you go"

Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.

She said "Some days I feel like shit,
Some days I wanna quit, and just be normal for a bit,"
I don't understand why you have to always be gone,
I get along but the trips always feel so long,
And, I find myself tryna stay by the phone,
'Cause your voice always helps me when I feel so alone,
But I feel like an idiot, workin' my day around the call,
But when I pick up I don't have much to say,
So, I want you to know it's a little fucked up,
That I'm stuck here waitin', at times debatin',
Tellin' you that I've had it with you and your career,
Me and the rest of the family here singing "Where'd you go?"

I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone,
Please come back home...

You know the place where you used to live,
Used to barbeque up burgers and ribs,
Used to have a little party every Hallowe'en with candy by the pile,
But now, you only stop by every once in a while,
Shit, I find myself just fillin' my time,
Anything to keep the thought of you from my mind,
I'm doin' fine, I plan to keep it that way,
You can call me if you find you have somethin' to say,
And I'll tell you, I want you to know it's a little fucked up,
That I'm stuck here waitin', at times debatin',
Tellin' you that I've had it with you and your career,
Me and the rest of the family here singing "Where'd you go?"

I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone,
Please come back home...

I want you to know it's a little fucked up,
That I'm stuck here waitin', no longer debatin',
Tired of sittin' and hatin' and makin' these excuses,
For while you're not around, and feeling so useless,
It seems one thing has been true all along,
You don't really know what you got 'til it's gone,
I guess I've had it with you and your career,
When you come back I won't be here and you'll can sing it...

Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone,
Please come back home...

Martin, one of our corridor mates, filmed our corridor in the crack of dawn. Looks a bit messy, but hey, we are 12 people living together here.
For everybody out there who is curious about how I live my life as a half-student, here you get a glimpse...

This was filmed in the end of last year, hence, the snow!!!

Ok, i've had it with the fuss around my picture! Half of my friends like it and half thinks I look like Michael Jackson. Now for once and for all, let's set the record straight.
Please leave your comment and vote! (and don't dare do it anonymous)

Eurovision gets to you sooner or later

I remember that when I moved to Sweden, Eurovision was a part of its culture. I couldn't understand it, because Eurovision songs are usually so bad and tacky, that I'd rather spend my evening smoking waterpipe or going out. My swedish friends on the other hand, cancelled any other activities just to stay home and watch the contest (!!!!)
I found that absurd. But now, 7 years later, 7 years of Sweden, I find myself just like my swedish friends, stuck in the sofa, watching every single contestant sing - and those are about 24 countries!
Not only did i watch, i voted too, and to vote, it costs about 0.5 euros. No further comments!
However, now i must say I like it. The music is still bad, but this year, something like 3 to 4 contestants were good. Sweden has Carola (I don't like her, but this year, her song was really good), Tina Karol from Ukraine with her "Show me your love" song - She reminds me of Shakira. I even downloaded her song, I'm sorry to upset you! Then Bosnia had this traditional song, which was pretty ok...and last but not least, my favorite...LORDI from Finland. And they are pure rock n roll...
Guess who won??!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSS LORDI! I was flipping of happiness. Could not believe a rock band could win Eurovision, which is so pop it smells like bubble gum through the tv screen!!!
They look horrendous, but godamnit, they are so cool. Ahhh, it makes Eurovision all the more exciting!

Lordi's comment was precious:

“We won the contest, looking like this,” he said. “It just goes to show that Europe is not such a bad place.”

Next year Eurovision will be held at our neighbours in Finland. GO FINLAND!!!!!!!
For all the curious souls out there, I will put up a picture of the highly unusual looking LORDI. They spent 350.000kr on their costumes and nobody knows how they look, because they beg the media NOT to take pictures of them when they are in private, because it would take the mystery away.. I totally agree!

The curious incident of the dog in the night-time

3 minutes ago i found myself on the last page of the book my dad borrowed me. I felt a pain in my chest, just like Christopher, the main character of the book. It was a psychological pain in my chest, partly because I didnt want the book to end, and partly because it was a really sad but wonderful book.
The book goes by the quirky title "The curious incident of the dog in the night-time" by Mark Haddon.
It's a story about a 15 year old autistic boy named Christopher and the way a kid with his condition absorbs information with his senses, while he is trying to solve a quite unusual murder mystery.

I quote: " ITS A MURDER MYSTERY NOVEL like no other. The detective Christopher Boone is fifteen and has got Asperger's syndrom. He knows a great deal about maths and very little about human beings...."

I finished the book in 5 days, and i never laughed so much with a book before (at least at the first part of the book).

I suggest all of you to read it. Its a masterpiece in my eyes!!!

Now its sunday, and I have to start working on our social studies project! Blahaaaa.

The beginning of an era

So this is my first attempt to start a blog.
I felt the pressure of starting a more mature diary since i used to keep my 6-year long diary on a swedish teenage community.
I'd like to dedicate this space to my small daily happenings, or merely thoughts that go through my head, when I'm opening the fridge, when I'm looking outside the window or simply for therapy purposes.

I'm 22 years old, going on 23. Right now i live in Uppsala Sweden, working on gettin in to the UNI here next year.

Welcome to my crib...
